Jamshedpur, March 14: A plus two student of Kasidih High School, Sakchi, identified as Chandan, was seriously injured after being assaulted by a group of school students in Sakchi on Monday.
Sources said the incident took place when Chandan was returning from tuition class in Sidhgora. One of his friends, Pranay Kumar, asked Chandan to give him the mobile phone number of some friend. Later, the two friends had a tiff over this and Pranay allegedly beat up Chandan who complained to school teachers about the incident today.
Irked over the complaint, Pranay assaulted Chandan with a sharp weapon with the help of his friends Sachin and Avinash Anand. Chandan was seriously injured in the incident. He was taken to MGM Hospital where his condition was reportedly stable, sources said.
