Jamshedpur, April 7: Late Saturday night saw the derailment of the guard cabin of a goods train on track number 7 near the outer post of Kandra railway station within the CKP Railway Division. The incident sparked concerns across all stations within the division momentarily. Fortunately, the Railways reported no significant losses due to the mishap.

Prompt action was taken, with a hydraulic crane dispatched from Tatanagar arriving to rectify the situation. By approximately 2:30 pm, the guard cabin was repositioned and the goods train sent on its way without further incident.

Sources indicate that the goods train, en route from Bandamunda to SNFC, experienced the derailment as a result of the master brake application. The sounding of sirens in major stations within the CKP division prompted swift response from railway officials, leading to the resolution of the situation within three hours and the resumption of normal operations.
