Jamshedpur, July 13: Jamshedpur Women�s College organized a meeting on Wednesday under the Internal Quality Assessment cell (IQAC) to discuss and frame the upcoming activities in order to raise the standard of education in the girls� college in Bistupur. �
Bidyut Baran Mahato, Jamshedpur MP and Suresh Sonthalia, president, Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), were also present at the IQAC meeting held at the college campus.
Jamshedpur Women’s College which received grade A from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, last time will once again apply for accreditation this year. The college underwent the inspection in 2011 and will complete five years this year.
The college is also heading to join the National Knowledge Commission, a high speed multi-gigabit network, which will provide a unified high speed network for educational institutions in India.
The National Knowledge Network constituted in 2009 is said to be the largest e-network in the country in the education sector. The college will have to pay Rs 7 lakh to be a part of the network.
