JVM against anti-encroachment drive

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha central secretary Abhay Singh has alleged that the railway authorities were trying to remove local residents near Tinplate Company without any reason or rhyme.

In a statement issued on Friday, he said the land inhabited on by the local residents was neither needed by the company nor the railway authorities.

He said the local residents should be allowed to live on the land since they had been doing so for more than last 50 years.

He said the party would be burning the effigy of the Union Railway Minister and the Railway Board tomorrow to protest attempts by the railways to remove encroachment from the area.
