Jusco School South Park plants over 1200 saplings to mark Van Mahotsav Week

Jamshedpur, July 11: In an attempt to lend a green touch to the environment and sensitize students about their role in conserving it, the students and teachers of Jusco School South Park celebrated Van Mahotsav “Each one , Plant one ”from 1st to 10th July 2021. 
In this week long tree plantation drive students and teachers planted over 1200 Indoor Air purifying plants  like Peace Lily, Pothos, English Ivy, Snake Plant, Aleo vera, Areca Palm, Spider Plant Chinese Evergreen and variety of Ferns in their balconies, garden or open space around their homes following the protocols of the pandemic. 


The school Principal Mrs Mili Sinha along with the  teachers  also planted trees in the school campus and she said that planting Air purifying plants prevents pollution and increases oxygen concentration in the atmosphere. Celebrating Van Mahotsav as a festival of life and involving t maximum number of students in the drive is to make students aware about the hazards of pollution and the need for planting more trees to save our earth.
