Jamshedpur, July 11: A police sub-inspector (SI) posted at Birsanagar police station is all set to be arrested for physically exploiting a young woman in the plea to marry her.
The SI identified as Ravi Ranjan Kumar not only exploited the woman but forced her to file a divorce petition before he himself solemnized his marriage at his native place in Samastipur district of Bihar recently.
The victim who is a resident of Bankati village in Baharagora had on July 8 lodged an FIR with the Mahila Police station in Sakchi, leading the police to register a case against the SI.
Deputy superintendent of police (Composite Control Room) Animesh Gupta who investigated the case on Sunday found it to be true.
