Jamshedpur : The 43rd National Safety Day, which marks the foundation
day of National Safety Council of India, was observed by Jusco today at JUSCO Green
within the JUSCO Corporate Office premises.
The ceremony began with the Safety Flag being jointly hoisted by the Chief guest Kolkata A K Mishra, Dy Chief Factory Inspector, Kolkata Ashish Mathur, MD, JUSCO and Kolkata Raghunath Pandey, President, JUSCO Shramik Union.
The Safety Oath was administered by Chief Safety Officer, JUSCO after which he presented the
initiatives and objectives of the committee to create and strengthen SHE culture in our workplace and integrating the same in our work culture.
The key attractions of the function were Safety Skits performed by employees and vendor workmen of Water Division and HR/IR as part of the Inter Departmental Safety Skit Competition.
Various prizes were given to the out-standing performances in safety standards of Jamshedpur
Town Operations, Power Services Division and EPC Division on Safety Champion Employee, Safety Champion Vendor Employee and Best Vendor.
During the week many competitions were also organized like Poster Competition for Vendor Employee and Company Employee, Slogan Competition for Vendor Employee and Company Employee, Safety Quiz for Vendor Employee and Company Employee. Kolkata A K Mishra, Kolkata Ashish Mathur and Kolkata Raghunath Pandey gave away the prizes to the winners.
During his address Kolkata Ashish Mathur emphasized on the implementation of safety
standards in all works of life including home.
He said that employee should come to work smiling and should go back smiling. Safety should
be part of life and not just on theory. It should be practiced on daily basis and should
be like a DNA in your system.
