Jamshedpur, March 4: In an old case of arms act Principal District and sessions Judge acquitted Chairman of Jharkhand State Congress Minority Department, Hidayatullah Khan, JMM leader Raju Giri along with 13 people convicted in the case.
It may be noted that about 18 months ago Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), AK Rai announced the verdict and convicted all the 13. The same was challenged by Hidayatullah Khan at court of Principal District and sessions Judge which was accepted by the judge were Hidayatullah Khan and Raju Giri were acquitted.
For the same case, on the statement of Police Station In charge during the year 1992, RN Sharma a case of arms act was registered at Jugsalai Police Station. According to the FIR, arms were recovered from Hidayatullah Khan during police search and for the same a case was registered
against Raju Giri along with 13 others and all of them have been acquitted.
