Jamshedpur, August 1: During the Zero Hour of the Jharkhand Vidhansabha Monsoon Session, Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi on Tuesday demanded the government to take over Patmada Degree College Jalla located in Patmada block.
He said that Patmada Degree College Jalla was established in the year 1993. This college is situated at a distance of 30 kms from Jamshedpur headquarter. This area is a remote rural, tribal and native dominated area.
The college is accredited with B-grade by NAAC. The affiliation of the college is with Ranchi University in 2007 and Kolhan University in the year 2009.
“Keeping in view the future of the youth of that area, I demand from the government that Patmada Degree College Jalla should be taken over by government so that the children of the area do not have to come to Jamshedpur for higher education,” said Kalindi.
