Jamshedpur, Jan. 22: Members of the JUC Services participated in a voluntary blood donation camp on at the Jamshedpur Blood Bank on Friday and contributed 162 bottles of precious blood � a record at the blood bank in a single day.
This camp was inaugurated by Capt. Dhananjay Mishra, senior GM (JTO) and S L Das, general secretary, JUSCO Shramik Union. Pramod Kumar Rathore, chairman, JUC Services, Binod Sharma, vice-chairman, JUC Services, Gautam Bhattamishra, secretary of JUC Services, along with other JUC members, employees and Union representatives were present at the blood bank on the occasion.
JUC Services plans to organize this kind of blood donation camps at regular intervals to help boost up the requirement of blood.
It is worth mentioning here that voluntary blood donation is a selfless service and an expression of love for mankind. Blood knows no caste, creed, colour, religion or race.
Many accident victims, innocent children suffering from thalassemia, pregnant women, cancer patients and other people in life threatening situations die due to shortage of blood.
