JSCA to hone pacers’ skills at Keenan Stadium from June 12

Jamshedpur, June 10: The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) is organizing a special fast bowlers’ camp at Keenan Stadium from June 12.  

Participants of the camp have been selected on the basis of their performance in Junior Challenger Trophy and JSCA Inter District U-19 tournament, 2015-16.

The shortlisted medium-pacers include  Shubham Kumar Singh (Deogarh), Vivekanand Tiwary (Ranchi), Bal Krishna Sharma (Bokaro), Ankit Raj, Vineet Chauhan (both Lohardaga), Rajneesh Pratap Singh, Sailesh Kumar  (both Dhanbad), Keshav Mahto (Godda), Samanta Kumar, Alok Kumar Verma (both Gumla), Md Zeeshan (Simdega), Anurag Anand (Seraikela-Kharsawan) Madhav Singh (Khunti), Rishav Anand (Latehar), Amit Kumar Singh (Palamu) and Junaid Ashraf, Nishikant Kumar, Sandeep Choudhary (all Jamshedpur).

The selected players have been asked to report at the JSCA office at Keenan Stadium on June 11 with two recent passport-size photographs and their original birth certificate.

JSCA secretary Rajesh Verma said that they want to improve performance of the bowlers. The under-19 pace bowling was far from satisfactory in the 2015-16 domestic season and they decided to conducted a special coaching camp to improve their performance.
