JSCA deeply concerned over uplift of umpiring standard: Rajesh Verma

Jamshedpur, August 17: Three day �Umpire Workshop� for Non State Panel umpires of Jharkhand started on 17th August at JSCA Media Centre, Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur in which 26 candidates from different districts of Jharkhand are participating.

The faculty members who are teaching the rules and regulation of Cricket are Sanjeev Ranjan Sharma from Bokaro and three time recipient of S. R. Bose Trophy Raju Kumar Pandey from Jamshedpur. The whole event is being conducted under the supervision of Chairman Umpires Sub Committee Om Prakash Gupta.

Earlier this clinic was inaugurated today by Honorary Secretary Rajesh Verma. Addressing to the participant, he said that JSCA is deeply concerned on over the upliftment of standard of umpiring in the state and in this regard a good job is being done by the Umpire Sub Committee.

It�s an opportunity for the non state panel umpire participating in the event to be updated with the rules and regulation of Cricket.

The candidates who will qualify the examination on 19th August 2014 will be eligible to appear in the State panel umpires examination to be conducted by JSCA soon. The clinic will continue for two days followed by examination on 3rd Day (19th August 2014).

The participating umpires include Ravi Kumar and Praveen Kumar Ray from Hazaribag, Nischay Bharti and Ajit Kumar from Godda, Deewakar Sharma and Biswajeet Kumar Chatterjee from Dumka, Vishal Prasad and Jai Gopal Sharma from Koderma, Abhilash Kumar Mishra, Rahul Kumar, Ravi Ranjan Jha, Deep Paul Choudhuri and Ranjeet Kumar Gupta from Jamshedpur, Dhirendra Choubey from Garhwa, Ranjan Kumar, Rajesh Kumar Dubey, Shashank Shashi and Himanshu Kumar Singh from Deoghar, Marshal Guria and Sushil Hapadgara from Khunti, Vibhor Kumar and Ankesh Choudhary from Seraikela-Kharsawan, Albert Balmuchu, Anthony Minj, Indranil Das and Amit Karwa from West Singhbhum
