Jamshedpur: The JOGGA Inter School Badminton Championship 2024 commenced on 22 August at the JRD Tata Badminton Training Centre in Jamshedpur. The three-day event was inaugurated by Purnima Mahato, an acclaimed archer and national-level archery coach, who is a recipient of the prestigious Dronacharya Award and the Padma Shri.
In her inaugural address, Mahato lauded the efforts of JOGGA and JUSCO School South Park for organizing the championship, which provides a vital platform for young talents in Jamshedpur to display their skills. She emphasized the importance of perseverance and hard work in achieving success.

The event was also graced by Jiju Thomas, Senior Manager at JEM Foundation, who attended as the Guest of Honour. Additionally, Firoz Khan, Vice President and sports promoter of JOGGA, was present as a special guest.
Mili Sinha, Principal of JUSCO School South Park, welcomed the guests and participants, encouraging the young players to engage in the tournament with enthusiasm.
The three-day championship features the participation of 17 schools and nearly 200 students.
The event is being led by Vivek Sharma, Head Coach of Badminton at JRD Sports Complex, who, along with his team, will oversee the proceedings of the tournament.
