Job opportunities for locals at Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 23:The reinstatement exam for ITI and Diploma holders in Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited (TSDPL) will be held on April 30 (Sunday).

 A notice in this regard has been issued on Saturday under the signature of company’s AGM, HR & IR Shubhamay Majumdar. Last year, on October 27, 2022, the reinstatement was carried out, but the restoration process was postponed after the Jharkhand Jantantrik Mahasabha raised the issue of local candidates not being appointed under the Recuitment  Act 2021 of the state government. Now the written examination will be held on April 30 (Sunday) at Jamshedpur.

The contract employees, employee sons and general candidates working in TSDPL will be included in the reinstatement test. Intimation and admit card will be sent soon through SMS, WhatsApp and e-mail to the eligible candidates appearing in the reinstatement examination. All the local candidates who have not registered with the employment office and have not obtained the domicile certificate under Jharkhand State Employment Act 2021 of local candidates in private sector. They have been asked to submit it at the time of examination.

In case of non-submission of domicile certificate, the candidate will be treated as local candidates under non-local category in Private Sector Act 2021.

Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for interview. On final selection of the candidates, they will be placed in the grade and designation and will get other allowances as per the terms and conditions applicable in TSDPL. Selected applicants will be reinstated in the pay roll of the company as Junior Associate 1A (Trainee) for six months. On completion of six months and satisfactory performance, they will be offered permanent employment as Junior Associate 1A on probation for a period of six months.
