JNAC wins accolades for cleanling Chhath Ghats, helping devotees

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee made adequate arrangements for the convenience of devotees at various Chhath ghats in the city. It had cleaned 26 Chhath ghats and arranged for basic amenities for devotees. The ghats were cleaned before the festival. Professional divers, warning signboards and barricades were arranged at the puja venues. Bara Ghat in Babudih Busti was made the model Chhath ghat this year by the JNAC authorities.
Sources said the JNAC had arranged for a a number of facilities including eight changing rooms, illumination on the approach roads, Suvidha Kendra, emergency treatment room, public announcement centre, drinking water, mobile toilet, dustbins, cleanliness van, Wi-Fi, project, CCTV, professional diers and drone cameras.

Around 1 pm, CM Raghubar Das paid a surprise inspection of Bara Chhath Ghat in Babudih. He inaugurated the temporary Suvidha Kendra cum Announcement Centre at 1 pm. He was accompanied by the DC, Amit Kumar, and members of Nand Nagar Vikas Samiti. He wished the people on Chhath and appealed to them to play their due role in keeping the Chhath ghats clean permanently.

All Chhath ghats were replete with banners carrying slogans on cleanliness. Swachhata App was downloaded by the visitors on the request of JNAC authorities. People praised JNAC authorities for cleaning the Chhath ghats and making impressive arrangements for the devotees this year.

The special officer of JNAC Sanjay Kumar thanked all JNAC staff, contractors and the citizens for their contributions in making the Chhath ghats clean.
