Jamshedpur: In a bid to secure top position in the Swachh Sarvekshan 2018, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) is all set to launch a massive cleanliness checking cum awareness drive.
The JNAC officials will be identifying people and agencies willfully defying appeals to keep their premises and public places clean and spreading litter in the city. The drive would be run from 11st December till 17th December.
According to the special officer of JNAC, Sanjay Kumar, “We will take action against those throwing garbage here and there such as on the streets, shopkeepers not keeping dustbins, defaulters who fail to pay the bills of agencies removing garbage on a door-to-door basis, people urinating and defecating in the open despite having toilets at home, people using polythene bags, those vandalizing or burning dustbins, encroachers of roads, persons parking their vehicles in no parking zones, owners of stray animals, illegal khatal owners, persons pasting stickers and posters on walls and those spitting here and there.
Kumar said action would taken against persons found spreading litter and not complying with frequent appeals to keep their surroundings clean.
