Jamshedpur Ramnavami: Procession allowed till 6 pm, maximum 100 people to attend

Ranchi, March 30: Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government on Wednesday gave its nod for religious procession on the occasion of festival Sarhul and Ramnavami after a span of two years.

The guidelines were issued by state chief secretary Sukhdev Singh allowing religious procession to be taken out with several conditions after two years where any kind of procession was prohibited due to Covid pandemic.

Under this, not more than 100 people will be able to participate in a procession. At the same time, there has been a ban on taking out processions after 6 pm.

Also, there will be a strict prohibition on playing pre-recorded music or DJ during the procession. Apart from this, religious processions will be taken out only till 6 pm.

On Tuesday, chief minister Hemant Soren had given green signal regarding this. At the same time, guidelines was also issued on Wednesday. The guidelines directs all those taking part in the procession to use masks and sanitizers.

At the same time, if more than one procession takes place at one place or arrangements are made to welcome the procession, then the number of people there will not exceed 1000.

Playing of music or playing DJ will be prohibited during the procession. At the same time, the procession will not be taken out after 6 pm. It will be mandatory for people to use masks and sanitisers during the procession. Apart from this, it will be mandatory to take permission from the district administration to take out the procession.

The other guidelines points that where more than one procession converge at one point and there are arrangements to welcome the procession, the number of people there shall not exceed 1000

Prior consent of the District Magistrate or the officer authorized by him in this regard shall be mandatory for taking out a religious procession.
