JNAC initiates action against street vendors in Jamshedpur’s parking areas

Jamshedpur, April 2: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has launched a crackdown on street vendors occupying parking areas across the city. On Monday, pushcart vendors from Sakchi roundabout to Ramlila Maidan were warned and subsequently removed from the parking zones.

Krishna Kumar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner of JNAC, stated that a daily campaign has been initiated to clear pushcart vendors from parking areas across the city. This measure aims to alleviate parking congestion and ensure smooth vehicular movement.

Under the supervision of Assistant Engineer MK Pradhan, a significant number of handcart vendors were cleared from the roadside parking area along Straight Mile Road. The JNAC affirmed its commitment to sustain this enforcement drive to ensure unobstructed parking facilities for residents and visitors alike.
