Jamshedpur, April 2: Jamshedpur: The case of businessman Ravi Agarwal, residing in Sonari Aastha Hitech City, Jamshedpur, murdering his wife by administering a contract murder, has taken a new turn. Premchand Agarwal, the father of the deceased, Jyoti Aggarwal, residing near Jugsalai Tapadia Complex, addressed a press conference alongside family members, unveiling shocking details regarding his son-in-law’s alleged premeditated act.
Premchand Agarwal expressed gratitude to law enforcement officials, including State Minister Banna Gupta, the SSP of Jamshedpur, City SP, and SP of Seraikela Kharsawan, for their swift action in the case. He fervently appealed for the strictest punishment to be meted out to the accused.
During the press conference, Premchand Agarwal disclosed that Ravi Agarwal, his son-in-law and Jyoti’s husband, had approached him to sign an affidavit. The document purportedly claimed that Jyoti suffered from depression and received treatment from Dr. Manoj Kumar Sahu. It further alleged that Jyoti frequently caused disturbances, including at her in-laws’ residence, and attempted suicide multiple times, for which Ravi sought medical intervention. The affidavit aimed to absolve Ravi, his father-in-law Rajendra Agarwal, mother-in-law Uma Agarwal, brother Manish Mittal, and other family members of any responsibility in case of harm befalling Jyoti. However, Prem Agarwal, Premlata Agarwal, and Rishu Agarwal, Jyoti’s father, mother, and brother, respectively, declined to sign the document.
This revelation has added complexity to the case, shedding light on potential motives and pre-existing family dynamics surrounding Jyoti Agarwal’s tragic demise.
