JNAC flags off vehicles on air pollution awareness campaign

Jamshedpur, Sept 7: 15 vehicles were flagged off from Sidgora depot at 8:00 am by Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) with banners related to air purifier, the purpose of which was to spread awareness about air pollution. A total of 50 vehicles of JNAC will work to spread awareness through jingles. The rally was flagged off by JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar who stated that these awareness vehicles would go to different areas of Jamshedpur and make people aware for the next seven days.

City Manager Ravi Bharati briefed about the main causes of air pollution such as smoke from vehicles and smoke coming from the use of coal in the kitchen and asked the supervisors to urge people to get their vehicles checked for pollution and stress on use of LPG in kitchens.
