Ram Navami Committee Forms Teams for Smooth Immersion

JAMSHEDPUR — To ensure the success and grandeur of the upcoming Ram Navami festival, the Central Ram Navami Akhara Committee held a pivotal meeting on Tuesday at the Ram Mandir in Bistupur. The committee reviewed administrative preparations, discussed coordination between various Akhara groups, and officially formed specialized teams to manage the festivities from the procession to the final immersion.

Kunal Sarangi Joins as Patron

The highlight of the meeting was the formal induction of Kunal Sarangi, former MLA and JMM National Spokesperson, into the committee.

  • The Welcome: Committee President Ashutosh Singh welcomed Sarangi with a traditional saffron stole (Angavastram) following a ritual prayer for the city’s prosperity.

  • Sarangi’s Vision: Sarangi stated that joining the committee is a matter of pride. He praised Jamshedpur’s disciplined and dedicated celebration of Ram Navami as a model for the entire state and pledged his full commitment to strengthening this historic tradition.

  • Impact: President Ashutosh Singh noted that Sarangi’s experience and active leadership would provide the organization with fresh energy and momentum.

To ensure a safe and orderly immersion process, the committee has appointed specific officers and teams at various riverbanks (Ghats):

Coordination and Safety Measures

Senior officials, including President Ashutosh Singh, General Secretary Bhupendra Singh, and Patron Neeraj Singh, will maintain constant vigilance along the main procession routes.

  • Medical Aid: The committee has arranged for First Aid kits at all major ghats for the convenience of devotees.

  • Inspections: Officials have already inspected the ghats to issue necessary guidelines for infrastructure and safety.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Paramatma Mishra. Key attendees included Chief Patron Chandragupta Singh, Religious Trust Board member Jammi Bhaskar, and several other prominent committee members.
