JNAC demolishes illegal basement in Niharika Apartment complex

Jamshedpur, August 9: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) took decisive action against unauthorized construction on Thursday, demolishing the basement of Niharika Apartment in Sonari’s East Layout. The operation targeted Holding Number 19, where the basement had been built in violation of the approved building plan.

JNAC officials reported that the irregularities weren’t limited to the basement; the five-storey portion of the building also deviated from the sanctioned plans. Suburban Commissioner Krishna Kumar stated that the committee had issued multiple notices to the property owners, but received no response, leaving them no choice but to proceed with the demolition.

A JNAC squad was dispatched to carry out the demolition, effectively removing the illegal basement structure. Following the action, authorities issued a stern warning to the building owner, instructing them to present themselves at the JNAC office with all relevant map documents to provide an explanation for the violations.

Commissioner Kumar emphasized that this action serves as a clear message to all builders and property owners in the area. He warned that any future violations of approved building plans would result in strict punitive measures against the offenders.
