Jamshedpur, April 26: Due to stray animals roaming on the streets of the city, a big incident can happen anytime. Last month itself, a bull had attacked two people, due to which they died. After this incident, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav directed the civic body JNAC to prepare an action plan for catching stray animals and taking care of them.
On this, Special Officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Sanjay Kumar told that the plan has been given concrete shape after considering various aspects. Selection of agency for catching stray cattle from the roads and transporting them to the Gaushala has been taken.
At the same time, talks have also been held with Jugsalai Gaushala. The agency will start its work in a week after getting the permission of the Deputy Commissioner.
According to the special officer, Ramanand Welfare Society will work to catch the stray animals roaming on the streets of the city and take them to the Gaushala. During this, the owners of the pet animals caught can get the animals back by showing their identity and depositing the fine in the JNAC office.
In response to a question, Sanjay Kumar said that initially this work plan will be started in JNAC area, after that this work will be started in Mango and Jugsalai Municipal Corporation area also. He told that the agency The Care of Animals Society has been appointed to control street dogs.
