Jamshedpur, Nov 9: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has decided to use social media as a special election tool in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the state. The party is using WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook to reach out to the masses and convey its key messages.

The party’s central leadership had called social media experts from all the districts of Jharkhand to Ranchi on Wednesday. 10 social media experts from East Singhbhum participated in the meeting. They were told that in today’s time, party workers and people from remote villages are also connected to social media, hence common people can be easily reached through this medium. They were asked to connect with the workers and the public through this medium and also to connect others.

The party has also appointed two observers and has intensified the membership campaign from district to panchayat level. The party president and secretary of every block of the district have been entrusted with the responsibility at the panchayat level. A two-member observation team of district central committee members and senior leaders of the district has been appointed for membership campaign and formation of panchayat committees at the block level.
