JMM to contest Lok Sabha polls in four states including Jharkhand

Ranchi: In a crucial development, members of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) central executive committee convened on Thursday at the Chief Minister’s residence, chaired by Champai Soren. The primary agenda of the meeting was to strategize for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and address the ongoing agitation for justice for former Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Senior JMM leader and Minister Mithilesh Thakur highlighted the key focus areas discussed during the meeting. The central executive committee has prioritized securing victory in all 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand, emphasizing a strong electoral presence. Additionally, the committee has set its sights on contesting in select constituencies in Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar.

Mithilesh Thakur stated, “Our goal is to win maximum seats, not only in Jharkhand but also in other states, with the aim of challenging the ruling BJP and potentially altering the political landscape at the national level.”

During the gathering, various pertinent issues were addressed, including a review of the accomplishments during the previous Hemant Soren government. The strategic decisions made by the central executive committee underscore the JMM’s commitment to consolidating its political influence and aspirations for a significant presence in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
