Ranchi, June 10: JMM general secretary and national spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said in a press conference today that Jharkhand should have got at least one more cabinet minister and one more minister of state.
He said, for implementing Sarna Dharma Code, caste census, 27 percent reservation for backward classes, Jharkhand MPs should have got more share in Modi cabinet. But they did not get it.
Supriyo said, only Annapurna Devi got one cabinet minister. He said, she is our Santhal’s daughter. She is Koderma’s daughter-in-law. But they did not get any Dalit MP from here who is connected to the soil of Jharkhand. He said, many senior leaders have been elected from Jharkhand and become Lok Sabha MPs. BJP ignored all of them. Because all of them were people connected to Jharkhand. They were natives. Their ancestors were natives.
Taking a dig at the Modi government, he said, they made a person a minister who did not raise even a single question in the Parliament in 5 years on the closed HEC Ranchi.
Supriyo further said, you have given the charge of State Minister to those MPs who dared to oppose the policies of the Central Government which sucked the blood of thousands of workers.
He also raised question at not giving cabinet berth to NDA ally Ajsu which has one MP in the form of Chandraprakash Choudhary (Giridih).
