JMM demands regularisation of water supply

Jamshedpur: JMM Kisan Morcha has started agitation for its five-point demands, including better supply of drinking water in Jugsalai municipal area. A delegation of Kisan Morcha has today demanded action in the case by handing over a demand letter to the Executive Engineer of PHED, Adityapur. He says that if there is no improvement in 15 days, then Kisan Morcha will encircle the municipality.

In this regard, District Vice President of JMM Kisan Morcha Sheikh Salim Shehzada said that he has submitted a 5-point demand letter to the Executive Engineer. If the demands are not met within 15 days, the municipality will be surrounded. He said that in many places the pipeline has not been laid. There are Gaurishankar Road and many other places, but the bill comes. Shahzada said that brokerage is going on in the municipality, why money is being taken for connection. In narrow areas, they have demanded to provide branch lines and action on those who are not registered plumber and are doing connection work.

He said that JMM is in government now and the municipal officials should change their mindset, otherwise the Kisan Morcha officials will chase them. Morcha district president Luv Kumar Sardar said that there is a serious water problem in Jugasalai municipal area. The pipeline has been laid through a drain. The bill arrives on time, but no water is available. The BJP ruled for 15 years, but did nothing. JMM has just arrived and it will take some time. He said that the public needs to tolerate it.
