JMM candidate Samir Mohanty files nomination from Baharagora

Ghatshila, Oct 24: Samir Mohanty, the JMM candidate for the Baharagora assembly constituency, filed his nomination papers on Thursday at the Ghatshila subdivision office, accompanied by thousands of enthusiastic supporters. The day began with a traditional puja at his home, where he sought blessings from his mother before proceeding to the renowned Nagababa and Chandeshwar Shiva temples in Chakulia for prayers.

Following the religious observances, Mohanty led a convoy of vehicles filled with supporters from Chakulia to Ghatsila. He was joined by prominent party figures, including MLA Ramdas Soren, former MLA Kunal Sarangi, and Mahavir Murmu, among others.

A significant turnout of party leaders and supporters, including Asit Mishra, Arjun Purti, and many more, demonstrated solidarity and enthusiasm for Mohanty’s campaign.

During the event, Mohanty expressed confidence in his candidacy, stating, “The enthusiasm and zeal of the army of young workers present today assure that the JMM Mahagathbandhan party will secure victory in the Baharagora assembly constituency. We are determined to form the government in Jharkhand once again under the leadership of Hemant Soren.” He also extended his gratitude to all the supporters who braved adverse weather conditions to show their backing.
