Ranchi, Nov. 6: ‘Jhartex’ is already becoming the talk of the town with more than 120 exhibitors participating from Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, West Bengal, Haryana, Orissa, Nagpur, Lucknow, Uttarakhand, Varanasi and many others.
On the third day of the exhibition around 10,000 Ranchites visited the exhibition. The exhibition showcases the rich history and artisan diversity of each state of the country in the area of textile, handloom and handicraft.
Jhartex is also a platform for the rural artisan and weavers to showcase their product and the Shilpagram platform in Jhartex provides a stage for display of wide range of handicraft products that seem to be endangered in the foreseeable future.
A press communiqué issued by the organizers stated that Ranchi has never witnessed a more successful exhibition in this sector.
Jhartex is a perfect exhibition accompanied with the entertainment evening every day. With the passing of each day the show is already riding high on success and in past two days the event had already witnessed a magic show, cultural dance and fancy dress competition.
On the fourth day of Jhartex, i.e. November 7, a fashion show will be organized to promote the clothes of Jharcraft and other textile industry.
