Jamshedpur, Nov. 6: Rotary district governor Dr. Bindu Singh visited Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina on Friday and expressed her happiness over the work done by the members.
Dr. Singh visited all the ongoing projects of Rotary Femina starting from the Saheli center at Indian Steel and Wire Products (ISWP), where she was happy to see women stitching clothes, making bags and engaged in other cottage industry activities to earn a living. She also visited Bara Basti, Lal Bhatta, and Agrico and distributed new clothes provided by Femina to the basti people.
Rotary district governor later went to Jamshedpur High School, which has been adopted by Femina under their Happy School Project. Students of the school presented a colouful cultural programme for the district governor, who donated 20 bicycles were donated to the meritorious students.
Next she visited another Saheli centre of Femina at Dhatkidih Community Centre and Shiksha, a project for outhouse kidsí literacy. The students were given stationary kit. In the evening, a general meeting of all clubs with the Rotary district governor was held in Adityapur.
Bindu Singh was quite satisfied with the work undertaken by Femina Jamshedpur and congratulated all the ladies of the club for taking out time to help society at large.
