Ranchi: An elderly woman from Jharkhand lost her life, while her sister was seriously injured in a stampede during the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj in the early hours of Wednesday.
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Gayatri Devi from Palamu district, while the injured woman has been identified as Tetri Devi.
Police stated that both the deceased and the injured belonged to Tolra village under Rehla police station, while the injured woman is a resident of Garhwa.
