Ranchi, March 23: Jharkhand parliamentary affairs minister Sudivya Kumar ‘Sonu’ has said that Jharkhand has been deprived of central taxes and it will conduct a study of taxes given to other states and Jharkhand.
He assured that the government will present a report after conducting a detailed study to what extent development has been affected.
He said that the state government is constantly demanding funds from the Center through its administrative departments and even the judiciary has also been approached.
“In the interest of the state, the government will conduct a study of central taxes given to other states and Jharkhand,” said Sudivya Kumar.
Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav raised questions on the lack of implementation of central schemes in Jharkhand.
The Congress MLA has called for a study where the Center has cut Jharkhand’s share since the Modi government came to power (since 2014) and present the facts. Pradeep Yadav raised the issue of giving less amount than the amount fixed by the Center in the centrally sponsored schemes in a short notice question
Pradeep Yadav presented the data of the amount received in the last three financial years and raised the question of the amount allocated by the Central Government in 2025-26 in accordance with the budget earmarked by the state.
