Jamshedpur: In a significant step towards strengthening Jharkhand’s startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem, the Navachar Research Incubation and Innovation Council (NRIIC) is organising a high-level dialogue titled “Jharkhand to India” at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi on February 7. The initiative aims to position Jharkhand as a strong and emerging player on the national entrepreneurship map.
The information was shared by Amar Nath Singh, Director of NRIIC, along with Santosh Sharma, CEO of Book My Jet, Abhishek Kumar, Founder of Zoxode, and entrepreneur Sagar Chana. They informed that the dialogue will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, incubator leaders, policymakers, and ecosystem experts from Jharkhand and across Eastern India. The primary objective is to promote access to capital, mentorship, and institutional support, while creating pathways for sustainable entrepreneurial growth within the state.
Speakers highlighted that Jharkhand has produced several successful entrepreneurs and professionals who have built thriving ventures in metropolitan cities. The need of the hour, they said, is to reconnect this experience, investment capacity, and leadership with Jharkhand to create opportunities for local youth and strengthen the regional economy.
During the programme, deliberations will also focus on the proposed Eastern India Entrepreneurship Corridor, with plans to develop Jharkhand as a pilot state. The initiative aims to build a strong and sustainable startup ecosystem over the next three years.
Key discussion areas include the grassroots role of NRIIC, investment and mentorship opportunities for startups, priority sectors and emerging opportunities, promotion of entrepreneurship in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, and the importance of policy and institutional support.
The programme will see participation from leading entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders, including Santosh Sharma of Book My Jet, Arunabh Sinha of UClean, Anshul Kumar from Google, representatives from NITI Aayog, Startup India, NSRCEL, incubators, venture funds, and emerging startups from across the country.
Speakers noted that such initiatives will boost investment inflow, generate entrepreneurial opportunities for youth, and help establish Jharkhand as a model of innovation-led and inclusive development. The dialogue is expected to pave the way for long-term collaboration and actionable strategies to integrate Jharkhand more strongly into India’s entrepreneurial journey.
