Sikh Preacher Harvinder Jamshedpuri Honoured in Kanpur

Jamshedpur: Renowned Sikh religious preacher and thinker Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri from the Kolhan region was recently honoured in Kanpur for his significant religious and social contributions during a Kirtan Samagam. Sharing his experience after returning to Jamshedpur, he highlighted a unique social initiative inspired by the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Harvinder Jamshedpuri spoke about ‘Tera-Tera Hatti’ in Kanpur, where good quality clothing is being provided to the needy for just 13 rupees. He said the initiative gives practical shape to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s ‘Tera-Tera’ principle, symbolising sacrifice, service, and devotion to humanity.

Invited to deliver a religious discourse at Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara Sahib, Govind Nagar, he closely observed the initiative run under the gurdwara management. Praising the effort, he said such initiatives promote equality, compassion, and connect youth with Sikh values.

He was in Kanpur to attend a grand religious gathering marking the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji, during which he received the honour, reflecting recognition of his wider contributions.
