CM meets Archbishop, exchanges Christmas greetings

Ranchi, December 23: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren reached the Archbishop’s House on Purulia Road at Ranchi on Friday and met Archbishop Felix Toppo and extended hearty greetings and best wishes for the ‘Christmas’ festival.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister visited the crib set up with image of child Lord Jesus in the premises of the Archbishop’s House at St Mary’s Cathedral. On the occasion, Archbishop Felix Toppo also congratulated Chief Minister Hemant Soren on the occasion of ‘Christmas’.

On this occasion, Hemant Soren while addressing the representatives of press and media present at the Archbishop House premises said that the festival of ‘Christmas’ is a day of great enthusiasm and happiness for all of us.

The Chief Minister said that in the city as well as in the rural areas, a lot of enthusiasm is visible among the people regarding ‘Christmas’. Everyone has a smile on their face. Everyone eagerly waits for this day. On the occasion of ‘Christmas’, I heartily congratulate and best wishes to the people of Jharkhand.

On this occasion, Auxiliary Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas, Father Mukul Kullu, Father Asit Toppo, Father Sahdev Prajapati and others were present.

Hemant Soren speaking to media said that a high level meeting would be held on December 26 at Ranchi to review the Covid situation in the state and plan strategy to contain spread in view of the health ministry directive after sudden surge of Covid cases in different countries including China and US.

Incidentally, the new variant of Omicron B4.7 has led to health experts alerting states for preventive measures.
