Jharkhand to Get First Amrit Bharat 3.0 Train on Ranchi-Ajmer Route

Ranchi: Rail passengers in Jharkhand are set for a major travel upgrade as Indian Railways prepares to introduce the state’s first high-tech ‘Amrit Bharat 3.0’ long-distance train, sources revealed. The state-of-the-art train is expected to operate on the high-demand Ranchi–Ajmer route via Jaipur, radically transforming interstate travel between Jharkhand and Rajasthan.

While an official announcement from the Railway Board is imminent, the introduction of the Version 3.0 rake marks a major milestone for the region. Unlike its non-air-conditioned predecessors, this third-generation variant breaks the mould by introducing a premium mixed configuration of air-conditioned (First, Second, and Third AC), sleeper, and general coaches—offering passengers a faster, significantly more comfortable journey at competitive fares.

The train will come equipped with several advanced facilities, including jerk-free semi-automatic couplers, modern interiors, expanded legroom, modular toilets, and a CCTV-based security framework. This will allow passengers to enjoy a high-quality travel experience at a lower cost.

Route Gets High Priority

Official Statement: Arun Joshi, a member of the South Eastern Railway Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee (ZRUCC), confirmed that the North Western Railway has already received the brand-new Amrit Bharat Version 3.0 rake.

Given the surging passenger demand and the necessity for robust long-distance connectivity on the Ajmer–Jaipur–Ranchi line, this route is highly likely to receive top priority.

The BJP Jharkhand unit, in a post on social media platform X, has said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji, Jharkhand is all set to receive yet another major gift of development. The proposed Amrit Bharat Version 3.0 train between Ajmer–Jaipur–Ranchi will give a new boost to the state’s rail connectivity and provide passengers with the experience of modern, safe, and convenient travel.”

“This is not just a new train, but an important step towards realizing the resolve for a developed Jharkhand and a developed India. It will directly benefit students, workers, traders, and tourists, and will further strengthen social and economic ties between Rajasthan and Jharkhand. The Modi government’s goal is clear—better infrastructure, faster connectivity, and all-around development of every sector,” BJP Jharkhand added.
