Jamshedpur: Special Olympics National Championships for Floor Hockey (Men) will be held at Patiala from 19th to 23rd Nov 2018.
To select team Jharkhand, Special Olympics Bharat Jharkhand organised coaching camp for special athletes at JRD Tata Sports Complex, which commenced on 24th of Oct and selection of athletes were conducted on 3rd Nov.
Eleven athletes along with three officials have been shortlisted and will proceed to Patiala on 17th November 2018.
The shortlisted played include- Manish Kumar ( East Singhbum), N Sai Krishan ( East Singhbum), Bhupinder Oraon (Ranchi), Abdul Tabiz ( East Singhbum), Chirinjeev Das ( East Singhbum), Rayon Fransis ( East Singhbum), Akash Sharma ( East Singhbum), Rahul Kumar (East Singhbum), Roshan Kumar (East Singhbum), Pankaj Kumar ( East Singhbum) and P Uday Shanker (East Singhbum).
Raj Kumar Singh Coach (East Singhbum), Vijay Mishra Coach Assistant (East Singhbum) and Himansu Giri HOD Girdih.
The national championship is very important as the probables will be shortlisted for Special Olympics World Winter Games scheduled for 2021 at USA.
Team will leave Jamshedpur on 17 November by Tata Jammu Tawi express and will return on 25th November 2018.
