Jamshedpur, Nov 2: Jharkhand is likely to experience shallow to moderate fog or mist during the morning hours over the next three days, followed by mainly clear skies and dry weather conditions, according to the latest forecast of India Meteorological Department (IMD ).
From November 3 to 5, mornings across most parts of the state will begin with fog or mist, reducing visibility temporarily, especially in low-lying areas and along highways.
However, as the day progresses, the sky is expected to clear, paving the way for bright sunshine and dry conditions.
The department attributed the changing weather pattern to the weakening of a low pressure area that had developed over the northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining regions.
The system, along with an associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 3.1 Km above mean sea level, persisted till November 1, but is now expected to move north-northeastwards and become less marked.
During the past 24 hours, light rainfall was recorded at several places across Jharkhand.
Meanwhile, the maximum temperature in the state hovered around normal, with the highest temperature of 32.9°C recorded at Baharagora.
Weather officials advised residents and motorists to exercise caution during early morning hours due to reduced visibility caused by fog or mist, particularly on highways and rural roads.
The overall outlook suggests a gradual return to dry and pleasant weather across Jharkhand, marking a transition from the recent wet spell to the more stable conditions typical of early November.
