Jharkhand receives National Film Award from Prez

Ranchi: Jharkhand was given Special Mention Award for its Film Policy which provided growth opportunities to the local filmmaking talent from within the State during the National Film Award ceremony in New Delhi on Wednesday. Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretary to Jharkhand CM, received the award from President Pranab Mukherjee.

Expressing delight over the tag, CM Raghubar Das said it was a matter of pride for the State and that also when the film policy came only one year ago. He also added that the Government would be working to make Jharkhand a leading State in every sector.

Barely within a year of launching a forward looking and supportive film policy, Jharkhand managed to grab special mention in the �Most Friendly State Award� category in the 64th National Film Award.
