CM reviews Building Dept, orders timely completion of work

Ranchi, May 3: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that some contractors are intentionally delaying their work to increase estimated cost. Action should be taken on such contractors and work should be completed in time, he said.

Jharkhand State Building Construction Department officials told the CM that the construction work of medical colleges in Dumka, Hazaribag and Palamu are in progress which will be completed in January 2019. Survey of sites for proposed medical colleges in Koderma and Bokaro has been done and DPR will be made in the first week of June.

Video presentation of concept and design of the medical college hospitals including 500 bedded medical college hospital in Chaibasa and MGM Medical College hospital was done in the meeting. Tender has been floated to open a 200 bedded hospital in Ranchi.

Construction of new campus for development of education was reviewed at the meeting. Work is in progress in projects of Ranchi University, Vinod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University in Dhanbad, Raksha Shakti University in Khunti, Nilamber-Pitamber University in Palamu and residential schools after Netarhat at Nowamundi, Masalia and Torpa, the CM was told.

The officials said the technical bid of Patratu dam tourism related proposal will be opened on 23.5.2017 and work order will be given in the first week of June.
