Life members to cast votes at SCCI Building

Jamshedpur: Election for the president�s post of Jharkhand Prantiya Marwari Sammelan (JPMS) will be held on Sunday, January 12 at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Bhawan between 11 am and 4 pm. Two contenders for the state president�s post, Omprakash Agrawal from Dhanbad and Basant Mittal from Ramgarh are in the fray. Six divisions of JPMS including Kolhan will go to polls to elect a president on Sunday, January 12, 2020. A total of 3,050 members will be casting their votes on the occasion.
The polled votes will be counted on January 13 at Marwari Bhawan Dharmshala on Harmu Road in Ranchi from 11 am and the result will be declared in the evening of the same day.
The chief election officer Vinod Jain and his team held a meeting today with the members of the Kolhan election conducting team at the Sakchi office of Kolhan election officer Santosh Agrawal. Vinod Jain gave detailed instructions on the modalities of conducting the elections.
The election will be conducted for members of the Kolhan Division at the SCCI Bhawan in Bistupur on January 12 between 11 am and 4 pm. This will be the first occasion when life members of JPMS will be casting their votes. Only those members, whose names would be released by the chief election officer, would be allowed to cast their votes. It would be compulsory for all life members to present IDs issued by the Government of India like PAN Card, Adhaar Card, driving license or Voter ID at the time of casting their votes.
Those present in the meeting were chief election officer Vinod Jain from Ranchi, Pawan Poddar, Manoj Bajaj, JPMS president Nirmal Kabra, Kolhan election officer Santosh Agrawal, members of the election conducting team Bajrang Agrawal, Naresh Modi, Ashok Modi, Vijay Khemka, Dipak Parikh, Arun Gupta, Mahavir Agrawal, Santosh Agrawal (Kadma), Pankaj Chhavchharia and Rani Agrawal.
