Ranchi, Oct 22: In a significant crackdown on illegal narcotics, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in collaboration with Jharkhand Police, seized a massive consignment of cannabis worth ₹2.25 crore.

The operation, conducted earlier this week, underscores the agencies’ relentless efforts to curb drug trafficking in the state.

Officials revealed that the seized consignment was intercepted before it could reach major distribution channels, preventing a large-scale circulation of the contraband.

The NCB and state police teams acted on a precise tip-off, tracking down the suspects and confiscating the entire shipment.

“This joint operation highlights our commitment to maintaining a drug-free society in Jharkhand,” said an NCB spokesperson. Authorities have launched further investigations to identify the network behind this illegal trade and ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.

This high-profile seizure marks one of the largest cannabis bust in the state in recent years and sends a strong message against organized drug trafficking.
