Jamshedpur, May 23: Mithilesh Thakur, Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation and Production and Prohibition, made scathing remarks during his visit to Jamshedpur, accusing the BJP MP of neglecting the Mithila community for the past decade. Thakur emphasized that the Mithila community, comprising a significant population, has been overlooked by the current MP, prompting a unified stance in support of the opposition alliance.
Expressing solidarity with the grievances of the Mithila community, Thakur revealed their demand for daily train services from Tata to Jaynagar (Bhaya Darbhanga), Tata to Saharsa, and Tata to Bhagalpur, which currently operate only once a day, causing inconvenience to residents. He criticized the incumbent MP for purportedly failing to address the needs and concerns of the area’s populace, highlighting a disconnect between the representative and the community.
Thakur further alleged that the MP, characterized by hollow promises, had neglected key issues such as unemployment and inflation in Jamshedpur. Asserting a collective resolve among various communities and religious groups, Thakur pledged support for the INDI alliance candidate, Samir Mohanty, urging voters to unite and secure a resounding victory for the opposition alliance in the upcoming elections.
