Jamshedpur, June 27: A hearing was held in the Jharkhand High Court on the petition filed by the accused in the case of rape and prostitution of a minor in Mango Sahara City, Jamshedpur.
During the hearing held on Tuesday, time was demanded from the petitioner to present their side.
Accepting this, the court has fixed the date of July 6 for the next hearing in the case. The matter was heard in the court of High Court judge Justice Sanjay Prasad.
At present, the High Court has upheld the stay order on the proceedings going on in the lower court in the case.
In this case, 22 people including Guddu Gupta brother of state health minister Banna Gupta, the then DSP and MGM police station officer-in-charge are accused. The lower court of Jamshedpur has issued summons to all, against which all the accused have filed a petition in the High Court.
