Jharkhand HC breather for Jamshedpur DC Manjunath Bhajantri

Ranchi/Jamshedpur, September 18:  East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, while being the Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar, has got a big relief in the case filed by the Godda MP Nishikant Dubey regarding stopping the MP at Deoghar airport from going to Delhi from the Jharkhand High Court.

The debate took place in the court of Jharkhand High Court Justice SK Dwivedi. After this the court gave relief to then Deoghar deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri.

The High Court has prohibited coercive action till 24th November.

Incidentally, in August 2022, MP Nishikant Dubey was stopped at Deoghar Airport while going to Delhi.

At that time the Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar was Manjunath Bhajantri. In this case, MP Dubey had lodged a zero FIR against Deputy Commissioner Manjunath in Delhi.

The then DC Manjunath Bhajantri has filed a petition to cancel the zero FIR in Delhi. Hearing was going on in this case. Time has been sought from the state government and the defendant to file their reply.

In today’s debate, Parth Jalan and Amit Sinha presented arguments on behalf of defendant Nishikant Dubey. During the last hearing, the Central Government had informed that zero FIR registered in Delhi has been transferred to Jharkhand Police.
