Jharkhand Govt to compensate families having lost members to COVID: JMM

Jamshedpur, June 29; In a press meet convened at the Circuit House, JMM leaders stated that the state government would pay compensation to families of persons who had succumbed to COVID infection in the state. The leaders at the meeting said that those orphaned during the pandemic would be provided employment. The JMM leaders who addressed the press meeting included the party’s Baharagora and Jugsalai legislators Samir Mohanty and Mangal Kalindi respectively along with Astik Mahto, Laltu Mahto and others;.

Briefing the media, the JMM leaders said that their endeavor was to rid the state and country of BJP’s influence and that they were working on a plan along with the governments of neighboring states. They said that outstanding loans of farmers would be waived by the state government. they claimed that the JMM government would make Jharkhand a state that Nirmal Mahot and Sunil Mahto had dreamt of.

The leaders attributed the sharp decline in the COVID infection graph and rise in recoveries to good and effective governance by the state machinery headed by Hemant Soren. Taking a shot at the central government, the JMM leaders stated that prices of fuel, LPG and edible oil were skyrocketing and it was turrning a deaf ear to the country’s agitating farmers. They said, “The central government is a government of the rich and tormentor of the poor.”
