Ramgarh, Oct 14: A car moving at a high speed on the four lane here suddenly caught fire today. The car was reduced to ashes within 20 minutes.
The car driver escaped from getting injured or killed in the incident. The fire tender department personnel reached the spot and extinguished the fire of the four-wheeler..
During the incident , vehicular movement remained disrupted for about half -an- hour on the four-lane road.
The car was coming from Hazaribaghand moving towards Ranchi at high speed. It caught fire on the overbridge of Patel Chowk in Ramgarh four lane bypass. The driver tried to extinguish the smoke billowing out from near the engine with the fire extinguisher. But, the smoke subsequently turned into a ball of fire and within no time the vehicle was completely reduced to ashes.
However, the driver saved his life by running away. Police arrived after receiving information. By the time efforts were made to extinguish the fire, the car was burnt.
