Jamshedpur, October 17: The road to the Jharkhand Assembly elections has officially started, with the nomination process for Jamshedpur East and West constituencies set to begin on October 18. The elections will be held in two phases across the state’s 81 assembly seats, with the first phase scheduled for November 13 and the second phase on November 20. The results will be declared on November 23.
Candidates vying for seats in 43 constituencies, including Jamshedpur East and West, can file their nominations starting Friday. The nomination process will continue until October 25, with scrutiny set for October 28. The last date for withdrawing nominations is October 30.
Voting for the first phase will take place in key constituencies such as Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Mandar, Hazaribagh, Simaria, and Chatra, along with several constituencies in East Singhbhum, including Baharagora, Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, and Jamshedpur East and West. Other constituencies include Chaibasa, Majhgaon, Jagannathpur, Chakradharpur, Kharsawan, Tamar, and Khunti.
