Chaibasa, Nov 22: The first phase of the Assembly Elections 2024 concluded in West Singhbhum district on November 13, with voting completed in five constituencies including Chaibasa, Majhgaon, Jagannathpur, Manoharpur and Chakradharpur. As the results day approaches, discussions on victory and defeat are intensifying. Candidates and political parties have been busy analyzing area-wise voting patterns and gathering figures from their supporters.

In public spaces such as hotels, beetle shops, and tea stalls, party workers and election enthusiasts are engaging in debates and predictions about the outcome. Claims and counterclaims of victory are being made, but the final verdict will be revealed tomorrow when the counting of votes begins.

The counting for all five assembly constituencies will take place at the Women’s College premises in Chaibasa. To ensure smooth proceedings, the police administration has transformed the college into a high-security zone, resembling a police cantonment.

The district administration has assured that all preparations for the counting process have been completed, and the results will determine who earns the public’s mandate and who faces rejection.
