Ranchi, Nov. 23: In continuation of the efforts being undertaken by the Government of Jharkhand to facilitate entrepreneurship and investment by improving the ease of doing business, a review meeting was held under the chairmanship of the State chief secretary Rajiv Gauba in the Mantralaya in Ranchi on Monday. Different departments were assigned tasks for creating a more conducive business environment.
The chief secretary asked the industry department to organize workshops in different locations where departments can represent and explain the recent initiatives undertaken to the stakeholders to enable them to take full advantage of the simplified rules and online processes.
He said that all departments shall also hold workshops with their officers to sensitize them about the new regulations.
To capitalise on the single window system launched by the industry department earlier this year, he directed deputation of a senior officer of rank of principal secretary to be in-charge of the single window system. This official will be authorised to give clearances on behalf of all the departments. This will allow one application, one clearance and one signature policy of clearances to be truly implemented, Gauba said.
He said that the single window will have officers from various departments deputed to enable quick processing of clearances and assist the Principal Secretary of Industry department.
He said that the purview of the Right to Service Act shall be widened with 95 new services, which shall be given a time frame and statutory backing to further facilitate time-bound citizen centric governance. This is to be completed by the end of the month.
